Been back from USA for a week now - had a nasty throat infection the day I left but got some antibiotics and its sorted now, the only pain is that my ear didnt pop when the plane was coming in to land, and it STILL hasn't so I can't hear properly out of one ear... Kinda worrying - but it seems to be gradually getting better - just annoying really.
Ohhhh, I was jsut abotu to say there was nothing spectacular to report, but there is! Last week jason Donovan did a little Live PA at Chicago Rock Cafe in Maidenhead, admittedly far from my favourite haunt, but I went down with Nicky and Steve and took my "10 good reasons" MINT condition vinyl album of his - in fact I think it was the first album I EVer bought - and yes, got it signed by Mr JAson Donovan... hah. He was a bit wierd really, did a great set - but in teh middle of his set kinda wierded out a bit and sung the "Home and Away" theme tune acapella and got everyone else to sing along. And of course, if you kown the words, it only says 'home and away' at the very end - and what with everyone being drunk townies, they didnt make the connection till the last line - and kidna assumed it was the Neighbours theme tune - that he was in, obviusly - pretty DaRRRk there Mr Donovan. Oh why do you mock us? Everyone there was cheering him on and all that stuff, and I got the vibe he really didnt want to be there and the whole 'home and away' thing did seem rather strange. maybe it was jstu a joke and i misunderstood. Anyway... great performance and much respect due either way.
